  • Astrology is a worldview. Love is a worldview. Both are perspectives that nourish a re-enchanted experience of being alive. What happens when we weave them together?

Accessible for all levels of astrological knowledge, and particularly nourishing for those seeking to ensure their astrological interest + practice is one of loving relation, and not just calculation and analysis.

This keynote lecture was originally presented at the Northwest Astrology Conference in May 2024.

Includes video & audio recordings, with a forthcoming transcript.

  • Many of our sufferings, anxieties, and insecurities can be traced back to the “shoulds” and “shames” given us by a socioeconomic reality whose value system prioritizes consumption over care. Astrology can provide a cosmic framework for understanding the impacts of dehumanizing social structures, and then act as a tool for liberating ourselves from perspectives that erode humane connection with ourselves and the world around us. This is radical self-care; this is astrology as fierce compassion towards a more loving world.

Originally presented at the 2020 rendition of the Northwest Astrology Conference, this lecture is the culmination of several years of work on the concept of radical self-care, including teaching variations on this workshop to therapists, activists, and others who care deeply about and for the world.

ANYONE can benefit from this lecture — no prior astrological education is necessary.

    The lecture recording comes with

    • a PDF of the slides

    • a 37-page transcript (edited for legibility)

    • a guide to some of the exercises mentioned in the talk

    • a list of additional resources

  • This nearly three-hour “teach a man to fish” workshop aims at helping students build a clear, concrete thought-structure for considering “needs” and “resources” with the help of the natal chart.

For astrology students earlier in their studies, this workshop can serve as a grounded, immediately-applicable introduction to understanding & interpreting houses alongside considerations of planetary rulers and the elements & modes of the zodiac signs.

For astro-enthusiasts already familiar with interpreting signs, houses, & planets, this workshop is a refresher and nuance-creator around the 1st and 2nd Houses, house rulership, and zodiacal sign expression.

For anyone, regardless of astro-knowledge, this workshop provides actionable tools to consider existential needs and clarify beyond-financial resourcing. As one beta-tester put it, “anyone who considers attending this workshop should be prepared to engage with what it means to feel alive — not as a means of accessing happiness, but instead as a feeling of connection with the self that is full, embodied, and grounded in the soul’s needs.”

This workshop is best suited to astrology students who already have some sense of the natures of the 12 signs & 7 traditional planets; complete astrology beginners may feel a bit lost.

    You’ll receive

    • 2.25 hour video

    • a 46 page workbook

    • When it’s complete, an edited transcript — as of September 2022, this is in-process and will be automatically added to the access portal once it’s finished.

  • Called the Gate of Hades, the 2nd House serves an ambivalent buffet of agency, chance, abundance & austerity, reminding us of unavoidable reliance on often-unreliable resources. However, taking the perspective of the 2nd House and applying it more broadly to the entire chart can reveal reserves of support and caches of insight leading to a deeper sense of existential security.

This 75-minute lecture explores the technical and poetic significations of the 2nd House, followed by an approach to assessing the 2nd House and its ruler. The lecture aims to profoundly reframe the concept of "resources" while unveiling deepened access to the resources that matter most to a given individual.

This lecture was originally presented at the Northwest Astrology Conference in May 2024.

    You'll receive:

    • Video recording

    • Audio recording

    • PDF of the slides

  • Bolts of consciousness through fog; the generative mist of nonlinear thought: these are some of the ambivalent gifts that luminaries in the 12th House offer. By exploring the most maligned of the “dark houses” with the aid of the Sun and the Moon, our most brilliant celestial beacons, we can literally and metaphorically shine a light into the canyons and chasms of being. Not everything seen in such places is photogenic, but a good portion of it is truly illuminative.

Originally presented at the 2021 version of the Northwest Astrology Conference, this is an experimental experiential “lecture” that includes a combination of reflections on the nature & experience of being someone with the Sun and/or the Moon in the 12th House of the chart, as well as a guided meditative journey into the 12th House. If you are someone with 12th House luminaries, love people who have 12th House luminaries, or simply want to understand in a non-rational way what it feels like to be a 12th House person, this lecture is for you.

This lecture is less about the conveying of factual, intellectual information, and far more about facilitating an imaginative experience of the 12th House.

    You’ll receive:

    • a 75 minute recording comes

    • a PDF of the lecture slides

    • a 38-page transcript, edited for legibility.

Accessible to anyone regardless of astrological knowledge, but some sense of the houses of the chart and knowing whether or not you, personally, have the Sun and/or Moon in the 12th House would be helpful.

  • As one of the most commonly-used asteroids in contemporary astrology, Juno has been burdened with many of the same stifling structures its mythological counterpart was forced to endure. By digging deeper towards broadened concepts of honesty, oathkeeping, and faithfulness, we can better perceive Juno’s relevancy outside the bounds of heteronormative ideas of relational fidelity. When we expand our notion of “commitment” beyond traditional marriage, we also allow Juno’s wisdom to truly sing forth.

Originally presented at NORWAC 2021, this lecture is ideal for those searching to expand & deepen their understanding of asteroid Juno, as well as add nuance to discussions surrounding relationships, commitment, and the social, spiritual, and personal factors present in the perpetuation of “family.”

    You’ll receive:

    • a 75 minute video recording

    • a PDF of the slides

    • an edited-for-legibility transcript

Accessible to anyone with any level of astrological knowledge.

  • As the Greater Benefic & Greater Malefic, Jupiter and Saturn are planets with literal and figurative gravitas. In the aftermath of the initiation of the Age of Air, attending to the dynamics between these two heavy-hitters in individual natal charts can assist us in discerning how we can “think globally, act locally.” All of us carry both vision & constructive potency; by building a bridge between Jupiter & Saturn, we build a bridge to the future.

Originally presented at NORWAC 2022, this lecture offers a new way to consider the relationship of Jupiter & Saturn, as well as an invitation into perceiving the individual & micro-generation within their dance through the elements.

This talk is a good accompaniment to RE-ENVISIONING JUNO, for those who are particularly drawn to new ways of considering Saturn beyond Kronos.

    You’ll receive:

    • a 75 minute video recording

    • a PDF of the slides

    • a 6 page handout to assist with your learning process

    • when it’s finished, an edited-for-legibility transcript — as of August 2022, the transcript is forthcoming and will be automatically added to the access portal once it is completed.

This lecture was created with advanced astrologers in mind, but is accessible for anyone who would identify as an “advanced beginner” and above.

  • Saying “no” to one thing is, implicitly always and explicitly sometimes a saying YES to something else.

When circumstances say NO, it can feel like a rejection, a denial, a disillusionment, sometimes even a moment of punitive discipline. and again, nearly always, that circumstantial NO is, at the same time, a YES to something else — not necessarily something you /want/, but certainly something.

When engaged with intentionally, when done deliberately, when wielded wisely, NO can become a path of liberation.

To say NO and mean it, to do it from a place of participating in the creation of desired consequences, of saying YES to something that requires you to first say NO, to accept the boundary of a circumstantial NO and choose to operate as best you can within/despite it?

That’s embodying constructive Saturn. That’s Saturn serving liberatory ends through negating means.

Originally presented at the final Fresh Voices in Astrology Summit in 2021, this lecture deeply explores what it can look like to develop a more liberatory, more sovereign, and more supportively affirming relationship with both NO and its planet, Saturn.

ANYONE who desires to develop a better relationship with NO will benefit from this talk, regardless of astrological knowledge.

    The recording comes with

    • a PDF of the slides

    • a 39-page transcript (edited for legibility)

    • a beautiful workbook designed by Pallas K. Augustine to help you navigate your NO.

  • “Branding” is a frequent challenge faced by sole proprietors attempting to attract ideal clients. By delving deep into the needs of the Ascendant as styled by the public-facing prowess of the Midheaven, we can begin to paint a self-presentation portrait that allows for accurate & aligned showing up.

Based on a proprietary approach to “astroaesthetics,” this three hour workshop recording leads viewers through a re-contextualization and re-purposing of the Ascendant, Midheaven, and their planetary rulers through the lens of astroaesthetic perception. We’ll work to better acknowledge the importance of self-presentation as self-preservation and how deliberately-decided aesthetic language participates in personal success.

Originally presented as a pre-conference workshop for the Northwest Astrological Conference in May 2022, this workshop is best suited to individuals who already have at least an intermediate level of astrological knowledge, including comfort with all of the planetary archetypes and all of the zodiacal archetypes.

This workshop does not include a rundown of astroaesthetic descriptions for each of the planets and signs, but does provide a step-by-step framework for applying astroaesthetic perspectives to the natal chart — giving you the tools you need to create your own, truly authentic aesthetic expression.

    The recording includes:

    • 3 hour audio-visual lecture recording, split into two parts

    • PDF of the slides

    • PDF describing important homework to do BEFORE watching the workshop

    • PDF of additional suggested resources

As of July 2022, a transcript is forthcoming, and will be added to your account automatically once it is complete.
